Logan Teleflex to Promote Tilt Tray Sorter & DCV at Passenger Terminal Expo
Logan Teleflex is highlighting its key strengths in global baggage handling systems integration and a strong range of its own products on Stand 1520 at Passenger Terminal Expo 2007.

On display will be Logan’s Destination Coded Vehicle (DCV) and Tilt Tray Sorter, two fully developed products that deliver the function and reliability demanded by today’s airports.

Dave Reynolds, Sales Director of Logan Teleflex, commented: “Although products and services can be procured to ensure a system exactly meets customer needs, a comprehensive in-house product range is the key to being able to provide competitive solutions.”

He added: We believe two products in particular - the Tilt Tray Sorter and the destination coded vehicle – are real differentiators for us in the marketplace.”

Logan Teleflex moved tilt tray sorter technology to its third generation in 1998 with the introduction of electrically powered tip action. This technique has now been adopted by other manufacturers and is considered standard for airports and consultants alike due to the many advantages it brings. RF communication technology has also been introduced to the Logan machine along with other enhancements that further increase application flexibility, reliability and maintainability. With in service availabilities reaching 99.9% customers are confirming the benefits of this technology.

Logan Teleflex were also the first to introduce a intelligent Destination Coded Vehicle (DCV). This proved that this technology does work and provides many advantages to airports, especially after the much publicised failures of technologies that fell under the umbrella term of DCV. This technology was introduced nearly 10 years ago now and is proven in operation at a number of airports. Exciting new developments to this technology are also ongoing that will see the product deliver further operational advantages for airports.
