Provision of New Baggage Carousels for Dublin Airport

Leading systems integrator, Logan Teleflex is to supply the Dublin Airport Authority with four baggage carousels in the Arrivals Hall at Dublin Airport. The new baggage carousels have been designed with reduced loading heights in order to conform to health and safety regulations for baggage handlers.
As well as offering lower loading heights, the new baggage Carousels feature vertical curves and slightly wider 980mm slat variants, compared to the previous 812mm wide slats. The new equipment is scheduled to be installed by the end of April 2007. A fifth Carousel in the Arrivals Hall will also be modified by Logan Teleflex .
Working in partnership with LVP Conveyors, Logan Teleflex will be responsible for the supply, installation, commissioningand commissioning and project management of the Carousels.
The work carried out by Logan Teleflex and LVP is part of an overall €2 billion capital development programme at Dublin Airport, to include the construction of a new second terminal by 2009 , new piers and a major improvement to the existing terminal.
Tony Mabbott of Logan Teleflex, commented: "Logan have enjoyed a long working relationship with LVP, especially at Dublin Airport where we have worked together on a number of projects including the installation of the 8 Bay Terminal 100% HBS screening systems - connected to 76 check-in positions, to supply some of the 50 airlines that operate at the Airport."
