BAA Awards Logan Teleflex Framework Status
|
Baggage systems integrator, Logan Teleflex (UK) Ltd., has been chosen by BAA as one of only three 1st tier framework partners to work with them in providing baggage handling solutions for its UK airports.
Following a thorough supplier selection process, BAA has awarded Logan Teleflex (UK) Ltd. a partnering agreement designed to cover Group-wide baggage handling projects over the next ten years. The Agreement will be reviewed on a yearly basis.
Under the terms of the core framework agreement, Logan Teleflex will be working even more closely with BAA and there is potential for Logan Teleflex to have greater involvement in the design and feasibility aspects of baggage handling projects. BAA has estimated that it will be spending approximately £150 million on baggage-related contracts over the next ten years.
The scope of the contract allows Logan Teleflex to provide a wide range of engineering services – from initial design concept, planning, implementation, commissioning and management, through to integration with M&E, O&M and other associated services.
In return, BAA is expected to gain crucial cost advantages from working with Logan Teleflex as a formal partner and will be able to tap into the baggage handling company’s knowledge, experience and technical abilities, gained from over 40 years in the industry.
Logan Teleflex has set up a dedicated and mobile core framework team to deal specifically with the BAA work.
