New Logan Teleflex to Deliver Extra Value and Performance
|
A major reason behind the re-branding programme is to re-introduce to the airport and industrial markets two well-known brand names that are synonymous with quality, cost competitiveness and years of experience. In fact, Logan celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
As a result of the name change and re-branding, the Fabricom Airport Systems entities in the UK, France, Belgium and the USA, which, in the main, previously worked independently, will re-align under Logan Teleflex. The UK will become the central office and operations centre, and share services with France, Belgium and the USA, which will operate as Sales and Service Centres, staffed by personnel involved in sales, proposals, engineering and project delivery.
Commenting on the re-branding, Mike Jeffery, Managing Director of Logan Teleflex, said: “We have finally been able to re structure the companies and bring together our extensive experience, products and resources. Having centralised the majority of our fixed costs, along with the alignment of common products and processes, we now expect to be able to deliver to our customers increased added value and performance.”
The previous Fabricom Airport Systems organisation was brought together in 2002, as a major force in the supply of baggage handling systems to the airport industry. Through its predecessor companies, Logan Teleflex developed and installed the first “in line” security screening system in 1989, and has since installed over 400 baggage systems around the world.
As a technology leader, the company has continually demonstrated a significant solutions capability by designing and installing varied applications of its extensive product range to meet Hold Baggage Screening and Common Use system requirements. These products include the unique radio frequency controlled Tilt Tray Sorter, and the recently updated Telebag DCV system with its enhanced speed and performance capability.
