NEWS Release Date: 27th August 2008 Logan KSEC launches new demonstration centre to showcase BHS expertise Logan KSEC, the Joint Venture between baggage handling systems (BHS) experts, Logan Teleflex, and the major specialist in automated logistics systems, Kunming Ship Building Equipment Company (KSEC) is opening a state-of-the-art test circuit for baggage handling equipment. Based at KSEC's production facility in Kunming, Yunnan Province, south west China, the Logan KSEC test circuit will provide a full-scale BHS where products can be developed and tested to their extreme. "The test circuit will be a world-class facility and demonstrates the commitment of Logan KSEC to become a major force in the Chinese and South East Asian markets. This development delivers significant marketing opportunities for us and we will invite customers from all over the world to witness our capabilities first hand", said Dave Reynolds, Sales Director, Logan Teleflex. The Logan KSEC demonstration centre is fully equipped from bag check in, through conveyors, vertical sortation units, ploughs, pushers and control software culminating in final destination sortation via the Logan world beating M700RF Tilt Tray Sorter. Logan's new sort allocation computer (SAC). BAGSTAGE will be used to demonstrate efficient bag handling and sortation from check-in to chute. The demonstration circuit will also incorporate new DCV technology enabling both Logan KSEC and Logan Teleflex to promote a holistic approach to baggage handling and physically demonstrate their products and combined technical skills. "Not only will the demonstration circuit enable us to push the equipment to its limits through rigorous testing, it will also allow us to develop new ideas and demonstrate them to our customers". "With the demonstration circuit we have the benefit of changing the parameters within the BHS and monitoring the outcome.
