The fast acting plough has gained favour as a flexible technology allowing for divert of individual bags or for route selection applications.
As a single bag diverter it has been used quite extensively for outsort applications such as selective diversion to manual encoding. Without any change to the system it can also be used for route selection functions such as may be required by feed line crossover to support a redundancy philosophy. The attractive thing about the plough is that the same unit can be used for both functions with very minor control differences.
The plough actuating mechanism allows for the fast action that is required to divert individual bags at rates up to 25 bags per minute. The plough also incorporates a belt on the blade to esnure a smooth and positive transfer in both individual bag and route applications.
As with all of our products it has proved its reliability in operation at many Airports.
